Poem Commentary

"I have fallen down a hole or two and I often chase white rabbits in my sleep".... there is nothing more powerful or surreal than art (whatever the genre) crafted in such fashion that the imagination is forced to take a trip into spaces never before explored!!! Inspired by the works of: R. S. Connett ~ WebSite: http://www.RSConnett.com

A Boy Named Alice (I dream of white rabbits)

On the world's ledge; I stand upon my window sill
Burdened by cherry pitfalls of sticky red goo holding my feet firm
I want to jump in an attempt to land nowhere; anywhere but here

With my mind wrapped tight around the circumference that surrounds my circumstance
I walk off the protruding edge without sanity as my safety net
I fall deep into a steep realm past the plateau of my subconscious
All to catch a glimpse far beyond ART-ificial reality
I'm deranged enough to delight in oddities that percolate from pure
nothingness

Dreams, nightmares, unrestrained sterilization of the senses
Climb down my rabbit hole and I'll paint you a masterpiece or sculpt
you a tune
It's all the same while uniquely different
Dementia's opaque dimensions are not lost without gain
Sometimes painful in the act of creation
Feel the fuel that plagues both failure and self gratification

Come kiss my words and make love to ideas that are yet to discover
existence
Lick up any offerings that artistic pleasure spills forth to freely
feast upon
Fabricate your brain to step into the outside of mixed stimulation
Yours is the wanton womb to give eclectic birth
For all things breed through IMAGINATION

Since most of life is so mundane and often wrought with strife, without some imagination, I wouldn't have much use for life-glad I read-Namaste...Earthly

Sweet!...I was hooked and falling down the rabbit hole on the first line and what a ride! Love how you wrap pearls of wisdom and truth in blankets of random imagination. You've got a pretty trippee mind...lol...I like. Thank you! :-)

I am always inspired and encouraged by reading your words and this poem goes a long way towards the perspective of using and finding things in the imagination that help you explore and grow in life as well as entertain yourself outside the illusion of our experience. Always a refreshing read from you.
