    A Dying Soldier's Prayer

     As he lay dying
    in a pool of blood
    on the desert floor

    His ravaged body
    nearly lifeless
    shattered armour
    by his side

    His eyes...
    once filled with tears
    now nearly dry
    looks to the heavens

    He prays for forgiveness
    Father; I shall kill no more
    Forgive my brothers
    as they fight this war

    For they do not fight
    for themselves
    but for the greed
    and the power
    of many more

    With one last gasp
    he says once more
    Father please forgive me

    And then no more...

    oh Lady Mary....this is a jagged knife rippin' in ones heart...it pains us all to know such evil and horrid happenin' to our own people...soooo much blood is spilled ..a families worse nightmare in the battlefields on other sands....ty for the share.and for thinkin' of our military forces...
