A Glimpse

  • Didn't I tell you, what I believe... Did somebody say that....that love like that won't last? Didn't I give you all that I got to, give baby?

A Glimpse

And so I saw Heaven
Once I looked into your eyes.
So special, it seemed that I could stay there for an eternity
Perfection in physical form, despite the human qualities possessed
Mayhap that The Lord Almighty had lead me to this moment
How could I not have foresee the intrinsic beauty
Behind such a smile
Upon your lips, I have tasted the sweetness of Life
With my name escaping your lips, I saw The Mountains and The Rivers of Paradise
And scarcely could I contain The Joy of having you in my arms
Locked together, like body and blood
The inescapable fact that we are drawn together by a powerful attraction that is hard to kill
is as evident as The Sun and The Moon in the sky
Would I have it that I would be born in your heart, die in your lap and be buried in your eyes
That all of the world be made right just by knowing your embrace
Even till the gentle sway of your hips to the softness of your touch
I would not dare draw a breath lest I disturb a powerful magic that held me spellbound;
A spell I could not dare nor would not dare to break
From Dusk till Dawn and back again, to break the seals and loose the sealed Horsemen
I would stand on the eve of the Apocalypse, and would be bound for Hell, if it meant I would be with you
In flame and in love
How great a love is this!
For all too soon this glimpse I have of a life with you will be Gone,
but the memory, the bite of love, I shall never forget
Let the world remember, that it was you, that I was and will always love...

I hear you, Yes this is great, powerful, and felt heart deep. Love your poetry, I hope all is well with you Jon, Happy Turkey Day, WS

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
