    • I've been gone for quit some time but I'm back and ready to write more poetry.

    Poem Commentary

    This is for our men and women fighting for our country may God bless them and keep them safe!!

    A Hero's Welcome

    Fighting day and night
                 Serving our country,
                        Never wavering your faith.
                                  You fight so that we all
                                                Maybe free forever!
                                                        Our government said,
                                                     We never ever have
                                                   Another Vietnam War,
                                                Well what the hell
                                              Do they call what
                                           We are doin in
                                     Middle East?
                                Our young men and women
                           Are dying and our
                        Government doesnt seem to care,
                     I say bring our soldgers home
                  Let them see their families.
               Some of our men
            Have babies that were born
         While they have been gone
      Dont their babies
    Deserve to know their daddies?
      Lets Bring Or brave home
        Let us give them
           Them all
              A hero's welcome
                 They deserve that
                          And so so much more!!!

    It's only another vietnam if they make us go home before the job is done, we need to stay over there!!! Its too soon to pull back home. As a combat vet with 4 deployments under my belt i'm tell you we need to be over there so those.... dont kill our children in another 9/11. and trust me they want to. But thanks to war we're stopping them on their own ground.

    My dad is a Vietnam Vet, and just watching the news and stuff it breaks my heart, that so many are still there and when our soldgers do come home some are mest up in their minds, and to me it seems we dont do enough for them!! I want to say thank you for fighting for our country and our freedoms!!
