    Poem Commentary

i have no commentary for this one

    A Rembrandt in my Pocket

    im out of interaction
    my spirit needs distraction
    the paint on the walls
    like water over falls
    running before my eyes
    i singsong lullabies
    tirelessly admiring each seconds uniqueness
as life is erased beneath my sneakers
    my soul discretion
    black and white
    morality dictation
    a blanket invitation
of unbalanced checks and dismembered wrecks
    im out of concepts
    nothing left
but blinking eyes and the white mans lies
    the pavement pounds me
the world disowns freedom and love
the abused sisters of society and sloth
we all breathe in the froth
of fangs dripping and barnacles gripping
hopeless desires given wings of mediocrity
    the ceiling is on fire
but we live under the sea
breathing no higher than a mollusc can be
under torture we can only complain
innocuous threats of hatred and distain
    a rembrandt in my pocket
id steal your hair to set fire to my rocket
    nothing and no one
i am purely a put on
a face to reflect emotions and regret
bottled inside a ship of glass
so small i cant even trigger the cannon
    and blast
    this is not a disgrace
    this is a loveless embrace
a tearful race to the bottom
    you cant stop em
they dont care and you were never aware
    of how close you became
to being just another laugh track
on a midlevel sitcom of shame

Beautiful writing as always wolfie. Your words always touch a place in me not many have ever reached. Your pen is so skilled I find myself wanting to write. The string of words you put together are more like pearls of wisdom.

This was a pretty intense read..... I noticed this had a very similar style of writing as my older work!

Absolute talent, a how should i say a Rembrandt. I love your poetry amad. You are definately one of my all time favorite poets on this site. Thank you for pointing me in the direction of this poem. Your angst is so clear in the piece, stands and applauds you once again. A 10 from me.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
