    A ROSE IS ALL HE LEFT

      

    A rose is all he left before he went away
    she held the dried petals now in her hand
    as tears rolled down her face
    the scent still lingers in her brain
    and she begins to smile
    memories of him come back for a while
    making her caress softly his pictures
    then admiring it again sadly
    still hopeful sighs loudly and says,
    "I keep waiting for you my love, I believe in you"!
    a rose is all he left but to her those dried petals
    are a promise he made,
    helping her look forward to tomorrow...

    This is a longing piece. It is full of acceptance and eagerness to look forward and even though there is the hint of sadness, it is still inspirational. A passionate piece. Thanks for sharing!
