    A Trainer’s Mantra

     

    I am like a warrior on a mission to kill

    I won’t stop until I see blood spill

     

    I will push you and not relent

    Until every ounce of you is spent

     

    My desire is to make you sweat

    Every bit of a workout, you will get

     

    If you come to play with me, you can bet

    The time spent working, you won’t regret

     

    I will bend you every freaking way

    Make you stand on your head all damn day

     

    I’m a force to be reckoned with, you could say

    You will reap results, so don’t dismay

     

    Make you pay for that whopper you ate last nite

    Stomp your feet, wave your arms with all your might

     

    Remove all hostility out, each time we attack

    ‘Cuz it’s us against the world

    and I live for you to come back

     

    A challenge with me, each time you will face

    If you set foot back in this place.

    DMJ - This is a very unique and truly creative poem. They should post this in every gym! Maybe even should be emailed to the Biggest Loser for both the trainers and contestents to read as a nice little reminder why they are there! Another Great Job as usual! ...... Ken

    i love the beautiful strict structure of this poem...the rhyming is beautiful...constructed too in wit,,.it made me feel the pressure of the trainer as i read this one...^_^ v

    I am a personal fitness trainer and group fitness leader. Can You Tell? I guess it had to come out on paper at some point. It is a great poem to read if you are trying to prep for a group fitness class.

    Very nice. They rhymn is excellent and you paint a good picture in the readers mind. I have two poems you may be interested in reading. My ryhming poem is entitle Nefer a love poem. And, perhaps you would like reading my poem entitled The Jade Queen. And of course the poem that won the Poet of the Week entitled Set Me Free. I found your sight while reading your comment concerning a poem written by stardrift. We often read each other works.

    Man, I would have loved to have had you on my team in gym. Not sure I could survive your class though. Reminds me of one of those trainers on The Biggest Loser. Wonderful write. I could feel your passion and intensity. Just reading it made me sweat a little. Thanks for sharing. I don't know if I can finish this Big Mac now.... Kevin
