    A TRUER LOVE...
    I know that life has come between us -
    So many times along our road...
    I know that circumstances have arisen -
    That have added to our heavy load...
    I know that often thoughts of quitting -
    Have entered in your heart and mind...
    But though you search the whole world over,
    A truer love you will not find.

    I know that at times you've felt so lonely -
    I've often felt that way, too...
    I know that at times the words I've spoken -
    Haven't always been the words of truth...
    I know that my actions have often hurt you -
    And my words aren't always kind...
    But though you search the whole world over, 
    A truer love you will not find.

    I know that our lives are quickly passing -
    That our tomorrow will soon be past...
    I know that of these memories we're making -
    Some will fade, but some will last...
    I know that 'tis often human nature -
    To fight the ties that do us bind...
    But though you search the whole world over,
    A truer love you will not find.

    This is a beautiful poem, so heartfelt. Isn't it true...we are a flawed creation? Destined to fail? But the love of God is ever there to sustain us. That's the beauty of the power of Him, living in our soul. Ahhh....life is poetry, if Jesus is in it. What a writer you are, young man. Your wife must be proud.

    Wow I just wrote a poem similar called love's absence but yours is so much more eloquent. I can soo very much relate to this, just fantastic work. I'm hooked ,keep writing!
