    Poem Commentary

    Love even those who may mean you harm or not love you back because they are the one's who need Love most.

    Once every now and again
    A person's wickedness comes along
    With words that make me want to sin
    Pushing me away from where I belong.

    I struggle with how to react
    Arising inside, thoughts of revenge
    But I remember one true fact
    Love conquers hate in the end.

    I can't be like that person
    No matter how hard I try
    A source of light I must don
    Put my "self" aside, do what's right.

    The pain I cause me when I don't
    Sacrifices everything I need
    It's something that falling in won't
    Be satisfied by foolish greed.

    Letting go of what I can't control
    I have no power over what they do
    The happiness that doing this bestows
    Is a thing that keeps me feeling new.

    Amazing poem! It was just what I was going through today. Hate, arguments and frustrations in life can be settled through love. How to love an enemy? I like your answer. Just do whats right. I like the moral of the poem. "Love conquers hate at the end".

    We all go through this situation in life when one or more people around you take you for a fly and start weaving the web around you...but the thing is, we arent flys and they arent spiders no matter how hard they try...with the love god gives we all have the power to rise above. thank you so much for the comment, it means the world to me when my art helps another gain perspective or is appreciated.

    This is such a wonderful poem!!! And the words are so true. At times it's hard to love our enemies. " I can't be like that person No matter how hard I try A source of light I must don Put my "self" aside, do what's right." Love this line bc I can relate. Great write!
