Alone,...And Yet Not

Alone,...And Yet Not

I stand
Alone,
No where
To go.
And yet,
Not.
I stand
Aloof,
Too scared
To talk
To you.
Seem like
A goof.
Alone
And yet,
Not.
I seem
Too shy
To even
Try
To be
Like
You
Alone
And yet,
Not.
If you
Could see
Inside
Of me,
You would see
That I am
Free
From this world.
I am in
It,
But not of
It.
I take my stand,
Sword in hand,
In my Savior's band
Of warriors.
To right the wrongs;
To sing His Song
Of victory.
I may
Stumble
At times.
I may
Fall
On the battle
Lines.
But,
He loves me still.
I may
Seem young,
But I've
Begun
The journey
Of a
Lifetime.
I may
Seem small,
But I've heard
His Call
On this
Journey
Of a
Lifetime.
It's just that
Sometimes
I need
Help
To get
Beyond
Myself.
I stand
Apart,
But, I'll
Do my
Part
During this
Journey
Of a
Lifetime.
I may seem
Alone,
But
I
Am
Not.

That's very inspirational, young warrior!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
