Ambitions of a Poem

Ambitions of a Poem

Make my style just like a sunrise,
so you'll never want to come down
make my rhythm sync with karma,
the kind that ensures people to never frown
with entailed statements to lead a fruitful life
containing accolades of praise or betterment,
to ways of life from strife

I want to be more than mere words,
stronger than a memory
I want to mean more than what I say
by being more in time than in the mind,
will ever credit me.

Make me have heaven seen through your eyes,
an art imitating paradise
dress me in your diction craftily
but don't let me stand,
any lesser than I was meant to be
with entailed statements to lead a fruitful life
containing accolades of praise or betterment,
to the ways of life from strife

I want to be more than a thought,
lasting longer than a mortal day
beholding more meaning,
than simplicity could ever say.

this is really great I loved it. I think the pattern of thought was very well structured

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
