Angelchaser

Is Angel chaser a friend or foe?

Demons like me never really know

Is he someone I should run from fear?

Though angel wings do seem to appear?

His wings are endless and beautiful as space

While his eyes know so much of life and grace

Is he really an angel or is it just a disguise?

I can’t believe it! Look how fast he flies!?

Is that an armor made of pearls and rubies?

Oh and what a wonderful sword he carries!

Such a powerful creature I’m so lucky to see

Of course hell never befriend a demon like me

Hoping to see one last glimpse of such a man

I follow him looking to the sky as I ran

Running stupidly I stumble to the ground

And broke my ankle as I fell down

I cry out as pain shoots through my body

Unknowing of the creature in front of me

I coward, shocked and in pain I’m unable to speak

But he outstretched his arm and wiped at my cheek

As he gently lifted me up and cradled me against his chest

I thought to myself ‘with a friend like him I am truly blessed’

I love it, you're a wonderful poet:)

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
