    Anger's Wraith

    The spectrum of emotions

    Gather within the soul,

    lightness to darkness

    these emotions flow.

    Cascading deep within-

    seeds of uncertainty

    draw together-

    enlightening me.

    The flames of wrath

    rage within the heart,

    shadowing the pathway,

    undistinguished-

    step forward?

    Step backward?

    Which way to start-

    how lonely the cries

Of the light that is dimming,

    when hate eradicates

    all that holds meaning.

    down in the depths

    of darkness and despair

    A single ember burns

    beneath all this rage.

    a minute breath in mercy.

    To ease pain’s calling

    for the essence

    that is tortured;

    by self-loathing

    and the guilt

    when they consider

    their life’s way.

    And wonder,

    think back

    to the mistakes of yesterday.

    Could they have perhaps

    found answers

    less destructive

    as the traveled life’s journey.

    Look away less,

    accepted others?

    Stood not alone,

    allowed love to

    be their guiding light.

    And within a circle

    of acceptance

found a new way of life.

You my dear have crafted a wonderful poetic message; 10 plus for the message, if more folks would understand; "when hate eradicates all that holds meaning" to that negativity, the lack of acceptance, looking back, is so unhealthly to the spirit...you are an enlightened one. Even when we realize this powerful widsom it's difficult at times to heed these wonderful message. Peace, Light and Love
