Answer

Brown hat
and leather gloves,
neutral and compliant,
laying on the console table.

Are they there
to be put on and walk,
or placed there forlorn
to go in to sit and talk?

They do not answer,
neither do they consider
to where they are worn
or even the wearer.

Brown hat
and leather gloves,
neutral and expectant,
laying on the console table.

Unexpected misteries from an strange hat, waiting to be taken, waiting to be worn, to the room of Jazz, where the blues are playing for us.

Thoughts to ponder of objects so important for protection of the elements or as attire to compliment the master.... Your words of allegory are well chosen and connected like pieces to a puzzle. Keep creating, for your tools of talent have a growing audience. 10

Grito, Great play with objects that lay in contemplation of our next move. This poem leaves the poet wondering about the power of one leaving or abandoning. I love that you kept it short and succinct and leave us wondering. ginga

Thank you very much for your great review ginga!!!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
