Poem Commentary

just something i put together, it wrote itself

Atlas and Pandora (the Strength and the Plague)

we walk in stratospheres
pulsing auroras brushing against us
as the waves erase our horizons
gripping mighty handfuls of sand
forearms engorged
like workmen we stand
with our arms crossed
cradling a bowl of fish and people
laughing quietly
as earthquakes crush
the pretty stone steeples of man
grinding and burning
burnishing the copper oak trees
with candy floss sunlight
we turn our gaze
to the disquieted community
puppets of flesh flash red and blue
every color and every hue
living to suffer
the old and the new
the taxis of shelter
driven by whores in bright suits
all languages ring with brass and flutes
the cacophony builds
we must stop breathing
this mass this worm
these lice are seething
there is no meaning
we are giants above
we crush and we cure
our dreams cause
eternities of screams
the bold and the few
bound by iron and forged by fire
we walk the streets in natural  desire
mechanisms of will
indomitable fountains constantly spew
gold and diamonds
oil and slaves
we curse the creation that feeds with no praise
fingers lock as steel is smelted
the fires of man remain alive in heaven

i loved the chaotic and realistic veiw you wrote about here, its felt to me like the futility we cause ourselves, its seemed complicated tho so i hope i got the right meaning. one way or the other very enjoyable

You know this is really good, so I won't remind you, although I think I just did. 10 from me my friend.

I think it shows the downfall of humanity at it's core...for we are pandoras box! Excellent

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
