Autumn

Autumn

Our Lord has created some
everlasting beauty on this earth.

Look out to the vast array of shades
of red, green, yellow, and brown.

The melody played in the movement of the leaves
is a complete symphony.

If soft lights is your pleasure,
turn to the setting sun.

Hold me close as I bask
in the minute chill
of the winds' sweet breath.

This is a day to cherish.
Let us hold it in our hearts,
and always in our minds.

Thank you for the note, that you enjoy my poem. I always like to hear when something I write touches and reaches out to someone.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
