    arthritis in lower back-most days I'm fine. This is how I feel on a bad back day

    Bad Back

     Like a metal rod
    driven up my spine
    bending hurts
    feels out of line

    I grit my teeth
    as I walk or climb
    pain will subside
    with meds and time

    The metaphor that you use here paints a very powerful picture of your struggle with this illness.i am sorry that you have to endure such pain.i pray that God will provide healing for you so that you can live medication free.thank you for this concise and well written poem. Terry
