    this poem is about....you tell me

    Beauty Awaits

    uashamed in the night
    we struggle
    to uphold ourselves in the light
    facing mirrors that reflect our lies
    if only
    our in-between midsummer alibis
    when winter is far
    and death is but a dream
    our eyes are clear
    our complexions as cream
    nothing can catch us
    everybody cares
    till the one day our true faith shows
    through darkened glasses
    and tunnels of smoke
    our true selves spin on silvery spokes
    vibrating with maddening laughter
    and deafening silence
    orgasms awakened
    and ripped from us
    walking on the tomb of our world
    standing tall in the light
    assured
    and bright
    awaiting the spear that will pierce our hearts
    running into death's gentle, waiting arms

    I love the imagery that you have managed to portray through this piece. Very vividly expressive and full of thought-provoking phrases! "Running into Death's gentle, waiting arms" Pretty deep and true! Great job!
