    Poem Commentary

I am an teacher. I attended a recent conference with other educators on recycling. Dr. Drew was the administrator. This workshop helped educators focus on using and promoting creativity for life using open-ended materials. (recycled). For me this was a rewarding experience in a sense that it made me look outward and reflect on the accomplishments of others. I noticed what some did together as a team. What one did alone in solitary fashion. What some did as a team bilaterally. All in all, the focus was great. So much focus. So much fun. An overwhelming feeling of accomplishment from all.

    Beauty in Our Play-Recycling

    Look what I've done.
    Look at me..
Making a fort out of twigs and weeds.
    Look at us.
    Look at what we built.
Rocks, foam,  and plastic make an upward tower that tilts.
Look what all my people have done.
We build an environment of peace, solitude, in a haven of fun.
    Amen

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
