Poem Commentary

This is a story of what could have been.  Hopefully will not be.

Behind the Words

Laying there tranquil not a sound.

They prepared a hole in the cold ground.

Silken adorned open casket silently still.

Little kids tiptoed trying to get a better view.

Solemn priest rattled off a rosary.

Hoping prayer would help her misery.

Her pain in this world is not at all.

Ended the day her dad got the call.

Don’t sob for her and pet her blonde hair.

Nor Touch her face. She’s no longer there.

No longer does her heart feel sorrow.
Didn't believe in the hope of tomorrow.

Poems eloquently stated her agonizing plight.

Readers didn’t know the depth of her  fight.

Frustrated life was typed on the keyboard.

No longer wanted to put her faith in the Lord.

Next time you read a dark poem of hers.

Look deeply into her bizarre words.

She wasn't acting, her world was chaotic.

Her angel of death, a jar of narcotics.

Mootpoint a very poigant write; your poetic words brought tears to my eyes; you did an excellent job; your imagery captured the depth of sorrow for all - compelling words on a difficult subject. Well penned my friend! Peace, Light and Love

A very surreal write my friend. Suicide is a tough thing to deal with, on any terms. I, too, find writing about it to be somewhat therapeutic. I have 2 poems on the subject that you might like reading. Both are very different. Read Faceless Child (it's an older one) and Another Poignant Calm. I like your style. Thanks for sharing...Kevin

What an interesting story. I love this. The imagery is incredible. It's very emotional, and the rhyme scheme adds that much more impact. Great job. :) I like it a lot.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT WRITE. MY FAVORITE GENRE, ON THE DARK SIDE 10 FROM AND IN MY FAVS.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
