    Poem Commentary

    A poem written for my first true love that scared me so deep it left me torn to the very depths of my soul...

    Beware

    In the midst of the summer's eve,
    Lies blackened cold heart of stone,
    Torn and be withered,
    Scarred and shattered,
    Into a savage quest of faith.

    The savage heart reeks of fury,
    Vengeance towards the pressor of weaponry emotions,
    Scarred deep into the heart of the soul.

    The horrid cries disappear into the blackened chilled night,
    But nobody hears the whisper.

    The be withered heart freezes in the intensity of the pearl white moon,
    Yet nobody sees the sight,
    Nobody hears the cry.

    Long into the ever cold darkened blue sky lighted night,
    Lies the dreaded memory of lost love.

    Can the longing adolescent heart be forgot,
    Can the barbaric soul be saved.

    Forgetting is a task for a thousand soldiers to challenge in bloody defeat,
    But remembering is calling the Devil himself to your door,
    Beware of the deadly cry,
    Beware of the longing memory...

    Loved the last line, forgetting is hard to do, but remembering can be deadly. You were very talented even at seventeen.

    Angel ... This is an awesome debut poem my friend! There is nothing like a lost love. The pain can linger on forever if you let it. Forgetting is hard to do .. but as you said remembering can be deadly. Great Job! :) Ken

    This is one of my old ones as well, wrote it when I was 17 I think. After my highschool sweet heart broke my heart into more pieces than I could glue back together. I was alittle emotional when i wrote this one, lol. I still use that line as I have found much wisdom in it. Purity of the soul, journey well!!! with grace and humility ANGEL

    No this is a very old poem I wrote about my first love, she tore my heart beating from my chest and part of me never recovered. it is a memory that till this day haunts my nightmares...     The ominousness overtones, and outright warnings are emblazoned within this cautionary piece. "remembering is calling the Devil himself to your door," Forgetting circumstances or events that will in part contribute to shaping who you will ultimately become, seems on the whole impossible. Maybe these scars are acquired to provide insights or as a map for you to guide others by...A very strong write!
