    Big Bang
    Eighteen billion particle collision
    & here we sit...
    Within and of the wreckage
    Holding lifelong seances
    to find out why we are such a MESS...
    Slay dragon after terrific dragon,
    but the dragons breed right along with us...
    The child squinted at the blackboard;
    They checked his vision
    gave him glasses,
    And that man with contact lenses
    still just cannot SEE!
    -not to mention you and me
    Blame static on the line like the line existed first
    When hearts aren't attacking
    Hearts simply HURT...
    The president demands a moment of SILENCE!?!
    to speak on our behalf?
    Rolling out of bed having Folders in your cup
    But when's the last time you really woke up?
    Was it overflowing?
    Was it half-empty or WAS it FULL?
    ....Eighteen billion particle collision but I have the strangest feeling
    that the "big bang" is yet to come...

    I really like the value of irony in this poem and how so true it is that the big bang always feel like it is upon us.

    this is brilliant. this poem drips with the gift of paradox. the wreckage or chaos is what holds it all together and like you capture so well we've seen virtually nothing yet.
