BINGO
BINGO
It's Wednesday night, the gangs all here
full of laughter, happiness and cheer.
It's "BINGO" time for young and old,
to win the jackpot, that's our goal.
Lester is here, he's ready to call
winning numbers for one and all.
We're ready to play and eager to win
It's seven o'clock, time to begin.
With eighteen games tonight to play
Will "Lady Luck" come my way?
Maybe the "X", the "L" or the "N",
Which game will I win?
He calls B 4, then N 33, the crowd gets restless,
someones waiting you see.
Now it's I 22, the tension grows,
Who will be the next one to shout "Bingo"?
He calls O 75, the G 51, that's it, my number,
I've finally one.
They share the wealth with those next to me,
Now we're all as happy as we can be.
Yet even though we may seldom win,
We'll keep coming back to play again.
For tonight we have something worth
more than gold,
The sharing of friendships between young and old.
