She wasn't very pretty to gaze upon her face,
her clothes were not the latest style, she looked quite outta place.

She didn't tand to linger or mingle with the crowd,
in fact she seemed to shy away, her carriage less than proud.

She continued with her journey never drawing near,
she wasn't of the usual blend, that was very clear.

She moved with no decision, her stride seemed so unsure,
she must have had a reason, for the sadness that she bore.

She kept her face averted, ,her head held slightly down,
she had a lost appearance, yet she didn't wear a frown.

She passed by the window, her shadow now laid bare,
she moved with apprehension, she sees her standing there.

Although she looked familiar, she couldn't call her name,
I guess it doesn't matter with someone who's so plain,

She stopped. she turned, she listened as if she couldn't see,
she reached out to embrace the right, a whisper in the breeze.

A sound that was so wispy, escaped but with a sigh,
she knew that she should know her, she knew that she was I.
