Broken Young Soul

Poem Commentary

Some people are just more unhappy than others. Some people are just more literal than other. But we all have a common link between us. We all die at one point. That ends our life, whether or not we were happy through it depends on the person living the life. Just smile and things will get better!

Broken Young Soul

The heart of my young soul is slowly drifting away.
It shall slowly suffer and die.
It has no more purpose to be here on this wrecked Earth anymore.
There is no happiness left in the soul a young girl.
The young soul could just be looking down a barrell of a gun.
The soul is useless, and would rather suffer its way through pain.
Let the soul be.
Do not disturb the broken young soul.
The heart of my young soul has slowly drifted away.

Wow-such a sad poem. If you are writing this from your pain, then you did a good job. Its a good way to reach out to others your age who are also broken.

Thank you. I only write about what I feel. Nothing I write will ever be made up, I do not believe that is the best way to write, but what ever works to reach out in any way.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
