Caged

Caged is the fate of angels,
no ability left to fly.

Caged is the fate of angels,
no ability left to try;

when sinners dare to never care
if acts performed are judged,

and fail to ask forgiveness,
while angels wait unloved,

no prayers directed to their realm,
none spoken nor in thought,

no prayers that come to justify
their presence seldom sought.

But angels know it takes just one
to free them from that place,

one still, small voice to make that choice
for an Angels warm embrace.

A cry, a whisper, the faintest plea
and one of them will fly,

for every lost or needy soul
the Angels care to try.

From infants to the elderly,
they hear each trembling voice,

and though they hope for many more,
in Heaven they rejoice.

For Angels have a blessed task,
a task we all must know;

to help, and love, and offer hope,
so thoughts of Angels grow.

I really love this. It makes me think about my guardian angel and what he/she wishes of me? Just one thought, one prayer, one chance to do what they are made for.

This is a great depiction of what our angels are all about, I found my three angels during some pretty rough times which I almost died from and what you said is so true, I found myself and strength by getting to know them and praying to them.

The title drew me in, your wording flows beautifully and they hold much meaning to me. I try to picture my own angels, ones I never knew but always wondered where they came from. Great poem!

Neglected angels await rare freedom. Messages to carry, love to bring. They wait. Great write.

you write so elegantly... I can't wait to read more.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
