Consider the pattern of nature
One season flows into next
The world keeps turning and life goes on
no matter how complex

So, too, we must learn to flow WITH
and accept the winds of change
Like a ship set to sail
the graceful tide propels
in sunshine and in rain

Despite the waves that beat against
the ship, its path is sure
The might of God directs it
until it reaches shore

How calm this drifting vessel glides
when flowing freely with the tide
On calmer seas, through raging storms
safely reaching the other side.

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die...A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance..." (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2,4)

Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet; so He guides them to their desired haven. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! (Psalm 107:28-31)

True faith is a steadfast rock, but the worm of doubt undermines the best intentions of (too) many. I like pieces that make me think, MD; I guess you can tell I love this one.

Your poem is filled with connected imagary, that guides the reader, with a direction, on how Lifes flows. Ecclesiastes added to the poem, though, I think. Thanks for sharing.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
