    Poem Commentary

    Ive only had one white Christmas, but I remember the day clearly... I always loved snow, and now you can see why :)

    Christmas Comes Alive...

    Every little shape
    and every little size are they,
    these frozen sky tears.

    How they fall, silent,
    in the middle of the night,
    so no children hear...

    Its as if Nature
    knows how innocent they are,
    these small girls and boys,

    So she gives them this,
    a White Christmas, along with
    all their newest toys.

    For when they wake up,
    shivering with excitement,
    to open their gifts

    A quick glance outside,
    just seeing the white out there,
    will make their hearts lift...

    Every street corner,
    every little picket fence,
    covered, shimmering.

    The old oak tree once
    so strong and proud, now bends down,
    branches glittering.

    After the presents,
    and after some hot chocoa,
    they will race outside...

    And just from those flakes,
    that fell down all through the night...
    Christmas comes alive...
