CHRISTmas

CHRISTmas

As Fall comes to an end,

winter comes,

with it's snow, and cold, and wind.

As Thanksgiving comes,

and rolls past,

we enter that time of the year.

With the hustle and bustle,

of angry shopping patrons,

by the dozens.

As it gets colder,

We can't help but to get into that,

Christmas cheer.

But,

has the true meaning,

of Christmas been lost?

Everyone is always so busy,

they never stop,

to think for a moment.

About what,

this season is really,

meant to be about.

Noone really keeps,

the CHRIST,

in CHRISTmas.

It's not all about the,

presents and gifts,

and family dinners.

CHRISTmas,

the day our savior,

was born.

CHRISTmas,

the day,

WE found our Lord.

Help us,

to put the CHRIST

back in CHRISTmas!

the world seems to move too fast these days and no one really takes the time to see what the true meaning of anything is anymore... i am glad that you take the time to look around and appriciate what life really has to offer and show you... nicely written hon

The commercialism of it all is so hard to see sometimes, isn't it? It gets even worse as you get older, or at least it has for me. You've expressed your faith perfectly with this, smooge. VERY nice job :) ♥

Smooge, this is absolutely beautiful and your heart shines through this write. A heart of where is the meaning and yet you know what the true meaning is. And those that are younger usually will never see nor seek the true meaning. I loved your write as you go on to describe the busy shoppers and all that goes on through out this season. Bravo on this one!! Its awesome and into my fav's. Hugz

Thanks

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
