Closing Doors
Closed doors
And open windows
It’s time to start over, but it’s ok
Tomorrow is another day.
Silent laughter
And loud silence
The weeks go on, but it’s hard to see
The fading of the memories.
Warm goodbyes
And cold hellos
I see you off and on, but it’s hard to fight
That lingering love that was so bright.
Strong weaknesses
And weak strengths
In time we will give in, but not today
It’s too soon to forget what wants to stay.
Happy endings
And sad beginnings
We move on with our lives, but not too fast
It’s hard to let go of what couldn’t last.
