    COMPASSION

Today I talk to you with sympathy...
For I have found I love you;in an Epiphany!
    Today;One day at a time,I find...
The people of passions are kind,
I pity the ill sick in despair-
I pity the hurt in pain,I care...
For today love flourishes with-in me.
God resides quietly and peacefully;I see...
           The sympathy,the pity:
              The heart,
             The building,
             The home,and
             The city built....
      Unconditionally we love,we sit...
Unconditionally we walk above it;a candle lit.
           Unconditionally we forgive...
For forgiveness is a prayer in serenity that we live.
    Today I accept!I hope!I speak:
    Love all things without rations...
    For today,I have redeemed COMPASSIONS!

Dedicated to those of us that have found Sobriety and a prayer goes out to the still sick and suffering....The ones that have passed away...

Good poem! Who can argue with the need for compassion & forgiveness. The hook when you really try to practice those 2 virtues, is that it FEELS LIKE you're surrendering & most of us would experience surrender as humiliating. Ya' gotta get past that!!

Ihope God loves me i sure do try hard.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
