    Poem Commentary

    Dedicated to the one I live with, Im not sure if this person is even aware of what he does but Im certain that I cant let it hurt me. I know I must stand my ground because if I let someone so close disrespect me as a human being who should love me then I am saying I dont care about me.

    Thunder storm rages, I'm barely aware
    Lightening flash cold dancing the skies
    I'm too consumed to try this time for care
    Repeat haunting, I begin to question why.

    Remembering your actions, needing to forgive
    Cycle of cruelty, your purposefull taunting
    I have to let it go so that I may live
    even if it is alone and I'm ever wanting.

    I dreamed of having what we never had
    illusion by wind blown thin I pull inside me
    The rain pelting this earth now muddy & sad
    Torrents erode my surface, will it let me be?

    Made me want to show him himself in a mirror. This made me feel a lot of conflicting emotions. Sadness, anger, protectiveness, and some fear in reference to the fury of the weather. Oh, well I liked it. Write on.......................Tlady

    This is a very emotional write, Insideme. I read through it twice, and it actually made me a little teary eyed. Very powerful, as was your comment leading into it. Can't ever let another disrespect you or make you feel like less of a person. All people are created equal ~

    You have to break the cycle of cruelty, otherwise it just endlessly repeats. Great job on this!
