Im surfing on the winds of time
water flowing beneath my board
life here with no reason or rhyme
on the highest waves ive soared.

I see you all on the sandy shore
smiles on your faces masking your fears
wishing I could be so much more
than a happy surfer gliding here.

I know there is danger lurking, I cant name
you see the sharks waiting to devour
but I cannot worry just the same
now is the moment to seize the hours.

I used to fear almost everything
preventing with cunning what could be
but no longer can I run from the pain
do the people I love really see?

I'll keep riding the wind and waves of life
choosing love over what remains without it
if things come to pass that give me strife
I will be glad I took a chance and didnt quit.
