    Poem Commentary

    Sometimes obstacles in life can dim the light ahead of us, this was written during a very dim holiday season where I felt like it would never pass and melancholy took me over. I penned this one december day when I felt as cold inside me as the weather outdoors. I was speaking to myself in writing this but if my words help then that is what is important. This is dedicated to my friend MatthiasThom...Love ya guy!

     If you choose not to decide
    you still have made a choice
    you don't need wings to fly
    to sing you need no voice.

    Life can often complicate
    the power behind the sacred seven(chakras)
    lost in indecision unable to relate
    floating on the river styx,  far from heaven

    Let go be free. hear divinity's words
    unravel strangling bindful strings
    take flight like a fiery bird
    leave behind unnecessary things.

    You can spend time ever crafting
    what you wish all to be
    but it keeps you continually grafting
    attempting to prevent what is to be.

    Sometimes we are covered in scars
    it's all in how you look at you
    the chalice is half full no matter what you are
    the key is perseverance, making it through.

    The future can seem rocky, unreal, and bleak
    it can feel like now is our forever
    open the vent, release, and speak
    with spirit we can overcome this together.

    Wow, I'm floored here...First to have the honors of a poem named after my screen name,then to read it and see how my life or circumstances also are involved or are similiar to your circumstances,to some extent. How my poetry has influenced your poetry is amazing to me. I'm flabbergasted here...Excellent poem from start to finish, my friend!

    I believe there are similarities in our lives but I'm sure we are quite different. I wrote this poem about me some months ago and when you said how the holidays were for you(the holidays and certain family instigated the poem) I thought you may be able to relate to what I was saying...thus the title addition. Originaly it was named This too shall Pass as a reminder to myself that nothing lasts forever . Im glad you liked it friend!!!
