©2011 Precibus (Tipping the Scales)
With all the colorful melodramas
that are following me around
to leave out exclamations & commas
to keep my feet planted on ground.
How do I listen to thier processes
without feeding into it my fears
it's not my job to calm their stresses
or dry the constant falling of tears.
It's very difficult to do sometimes
to not let my opinions get in the way
listening to the ignorance of their crimes
I'm not a computer, I'm a person left amazed.
I know optimism can tip the scales
of a situation onto the positive side
guess I'll hold on to the train's rails
don a smile and enjoy the crazy ride.
I've stopped trying to question the fact
that I'm the one some come to
when caught in the whirl of life's acts
I'll hope I can help, I'll tell the truth.
