    • Wow it's been a long time since I've visited my account they've changed everything! I need to get back into my groove of writing just been so busy being a new Mommy!!!

    Dear Daddy

Admiring the beautiful sunset on such a sad day.
Today is the day they took my father away.
Leaving my mother and I astray.
Knowing he's in the sky watching want me to be strong, and not to cry.
One day wishing I could grow wings and fly even just for a moment to stop and say hi.
In my heart he knows he's missed and thought about everyday.

In loving memory of Ronnie Lee Robinson

hi Stormi...I lost my dad four years ago. Your poem reflects your deep love and grief for you father. I still have a hard time on his birthday, and all the holidays.....Not to mention when I come across letters he wrote to me or my kids.

Great emotions packed into this. My only recommendation would be to pay attention to the form as a part of the "flow" of the language and rhythm of the piece. I think that this piece could be expanded! There's a lot yet to be mined in emotion and thought.

i know that feeling and i bet u felt better after writing it . very strong keep writting

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
