    Poem Commentary

    This poem was written for the forum "Free Cans / Jars of Humanities Plastic"

    Demon Seed

    The black tide has risen...
    Thanks to his decision,
    To assist in it's progression. 
    There is no good reason...
    For us to believe him,
    The great master of deception.
      
    ~~~
      
    The death of God's creatures...
    And disfigured features,
    Wash up upon Her blackened shores.
    All in the name of greed...
    They spread the demon seed,
    Till She can finally take no more.
      
    ~~~
      
    They now beg forgiveness...
    For the death and sickness,
    Inflicted upon her children. 
    But, I fear it's too late,
    They've opened the flood gates,
    And the demon has now risen.
      
    ~~~
      
    They try to correct it...
    In delay, they project it,
    Spewing gallons from your pores.
    Death counts begin to rise...
    Causing tears in your eyes,
    Among silent cries of, No More.
      
    ~~~
      
    When will it finally stop...?
    When will Man finally see,
    And change the error of his ways?
    The black tide has risen...
    It's to late for forgivin',
    Now we are facing the final days.
      
    ~~~
      
    As it has been foretold...
    Since the days of old,
    The ancients said we'd perish.
    There's no resolution...
    Man must stop his pollutin',
    And hold dear this planet we cherish.

    Wow Ken, you are a wordsmith, this was an amazing write, it seems people don't act until these things happen, and then after a few months, people forget about it, and keep on the path of this planets destruction. Powerful poem, thanks for adding me as a friend. I can't wait to dive into more of your writes.

    Thanks so much Sevyn7 for the great review! :) I hate the response our country provides to horrific tragedies that occur on our shores. Slow to respond and lack of responsibility, It seems that they care more for other countries when tragedy occurs more than our own. Thanks again Pal for your awesome comments! :) Ken

    Ken this is a masterpiece; the message is so powerful; Mother Nature and God Our Father Rule...humanity has violated Mother nature beyond belief - it's just sinful how we have polluted our planet and I'm afraid there's no turning back; the greatest Mother of all is Mother Earth, how we have raped her...it's UnGodly...Lord Help Us! Excellent Write and I hope people will take your message to heart! Peace, Love and Light

    Thanks Kanicki! :) I hate the fact that our government is so slow to react and allowed this atrocity to occur ... Much like the response to the Katrina catastrophe ...     Oh Knight - so much of how government operates has too much to do with politics; all the campaigning and political jockeying...it's sickening...politics is the Demon Seed. I wish these politicians would just stop campaigning long enough to do their jobs!

    Thanks Intense! :) I wrote this because I felt that I needed to express my feelings about the Gulf Oil Crisis ... I just hope there is someway to reverse this damage .. but I fear not. Thanks again Pal for the comment and read, Much Appreciated! :) Ken

    Excellent form and meter use, AS ususal, from you... but this time... I see that you have directed your talents to pinpointing our human follies that mirror the countdown to justice... where even the innocent are guilty by association.... as if we are the children of a careless womb.
