Welcome To Our Forums!

In order to keep the forums running well and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules for the forums here. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact us at support@originalpoetry.com.

Genereal Rules

  1. While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks, death threats, attacks on someones religion, race, creed, color or overall inflammatory posts. Our decision is final on these matters.

  2. Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) nonsense posts.

  3. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.

  4. Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum, private messaging system, profile/poem comments or the chat room to spam other members.

  5. Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts.

  6. We also do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate OriginalPoetry.com community standards. The OriginalPoetry.com team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and does not violate community standards.

  7. Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.

  8. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice at any time.

  9. While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently, we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

  10. You are not allowed to post any affiliate or referral links, anything asking for a referral, advertisements or notices for contests. Such posts will be subject to immediate removal.

  11. We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our forums are a privilege and not a right.

Advertising Services and Solicitation

  1. We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any products, services, funds or donations.

  2. Promotional text for a commercial product or service is ok, provided there are no prices of products or services listed anywhere in the text.

  3. A link and promotional text for a site that is not commercial and does not contain product(s) and/or service(s) is allowed, provided the site is not sexual or does not violate Original Poetry community standards. The Original Poetry team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. (Examples include sites about drugs, sex or murder.)

Avatars and Signatures

  1. We apologize but animated avatars are not allowed at this time.

  2. Avatars that may be confused with moderator avatars are not allowed. Any violation of this rule will result in deletion of the offending avatar. Repeated deliberate offenses could result in harsher punishment, including your account being banned.

  3. We apologize but post signatures are not allowed at this time.

Moderation

  1. Although the administrators and moderators of the OriginalPoetry.com forums will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and the owners of the OriginalPoetry.com forums, will not be held responsible for the content of any message. By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that violate any of the rules posted here.

  2. The owners of OriginalPoetry.com forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. Staff Disputes Any disputes with the staff of the OriginalPoetry.com forums will be handled in private through the private messaging system.
