    Don"t Touch Me There

Please don't touch my broken heart
The pains to much to bear
No spoken words can mend the wounds
    Only your love I swear

But in your eyes I can see the flames
    Of a burning distant fire
And I know within my shattered heart
    It's his love you desire

I tried to tell you how I feel
That my love for you is true
And if you would give your love to me
I'd spend my life with you

I know that once you loved me
By the loving words you shared
But since he came, your love has changed
So please don't touch me there

So run to him and leave me here
    In this moment of despair
I know my heart will mend with time
So please don't touch me there

Wow....This is beautifully painful...This poem is a wine...I sense that this takes time to ferment...The pain is fermented into this beautiful poem

Sometimes from the pain of a broken heart comes wisdom and strength of character and all of the tender emotions of a beautiful soul are revealed.I know that if you have not found your soulmate yet,you will in time.A tender heart which is determined to find true love, despite obstacles in its path can never fail in its quest.

I really enjoyed this poem also. It really expresses the pain of relationships gone bad.

Like that song, my heart aint ready for nothin but some haggard and jones. I know alot of peple will rlate to this one. It's a guarded response to hurt. A good write, love the rhyming stuff here. Your heart is really touching mine. Enjoyed it.....

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
