    Don't forget about the love

    I stand before you guilty

    And I’m begging for your mercy.

     

    How can I be for given?

    I am truly sorry.

     

    And I know that I broke your heart

    But in spite of all I’ve done, I need for you to still love me.

     

    I only need to ask that forget about the past

    I want to make this right so that our relationship can last.

     

    If it helps I can remind you of all the good times we have had 

    And shared together.

     

    So please take my hand

    And let me know while I’m on one knee

    That I am still your man.

     

    You don’t have to forget about the pain that I put you through

    But i don’t want you to forget about the love that we have been through.

    All i ask and need for you to tell me is that you want forget about the love.

    Beware of overly harsh critics! In my opinion, you are not missing any words, and you are certainly paying attention! We experience each other's poems so differently! I easily understand that you mean won't instead of want in the last line. I really appreciate your phrasing and I continue to imagine your poems as songs. As you dig deeper, you can surprise yourself with your written expressions!

    well to tell you the truth, i did started off as writing songs but realized songs are poems.Thank you!!

    I'm sorry, friend - this is certainly heart felt, but not that good of an appeal. Missing words, means you aren't paying attention. Slow down.
