Poem Commentary

From my years working front desk on graveyard shift at motel in downtown Las Vegas

down on FREMONT

down on FREMONT

(what happens in Las Vegas……)

wet&warm female flesh--flesh

of curbside fantasy

red light--STOP

green light--GO

cars roll leggs stroll

the soul of wanton

feet energize the street

east of  EL CORTEZ

wet&warm female flesh--flesh

of curbside fantasy

in rear view mirror

carnal anticipation

courts affordable

gratification when

infidelity & need

come together cruising

unfamiliar flesh

wet&warm female flesh--flesh

of curbside fantasy

fortification beckons

but do not expect

her service not to

render you with nervous

apprehension not

to mention guilt

with baggage

from trip

down on FREMONT

captures the moment in a visual assault that mimicks the one going on in vegas and every other city in the u.s.a. every night and every day.......

It's not exactly the Las Vegas so commonly associated with The Strip. And yes, the scenario is not exclusive to Las Vegas

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
