Dreams Betray

Poem Commentary

Some times we find out things about ourselves...........

Dreams Betray

Dreams betray
the secrets of the soul,
sickness,sadness and fantasy.
Morbid yet wholesome.
Dark truths reavealed
from magnificent lies.
A child, in love.
A strangers hand.
A a familiar touch,
never felt.
Long un-ending chases,
of motionless motion.
Dreams betray....
Dreams betray
the secrets of the soul,
sickness,sadness and fantasy.

Morbid, yet wholesome.
Dark truths revealed,
from magnificent lies.

A child, in love.
A strangers hand.
A a familiar touch,
never felt.

Long un-ending chases,
of motionless motion.

Dreams betray....

This is a good piece, I can feel the etheral quality of the dream, "the long un-ending chases".. I have run so many miles myself in that strange place. It seems to have a peek at the dark side and your confusion of the feelings disturbed. Well done!

Too true, too true. This has been happening a lot to me. But I can never remember the dream when I wake up. I like it!

They can indeed, but then again some dreams come true. Koolmom

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
