    Drip-Drop

    Drip-drop, Drip-drop
    Right on the floor
    Drop after drop
    Hits the ground
    A wet, warm mess
    Mascara runs
    Salty bits of water
    Running down my cheeks
I wipe them from my eyes
    As I think,
    "Why'd this happen to me?
    Why now?
    Why such luck?"
    I smile,
    Through it all,
    I smile,
    My eyes shine bright,
    And I smile.

Agree with hope. All just opinion of course but it seems to end quickly. It balances well though. Smiling through the struggle, refusing to let it provoke the stance.

Good poem, a little more added to the body but still good.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
