    Embracing Letting Go.

     These days quickly turned to grey
    As I sit here in the darkness of my room
    Hearts slowly mend
    While I lie awake not falling to sleep
    Just counting sheep
    Maybe I like it
    Maybe I'll hold
    Onto the things
    I had to let go of
    Is this all wrong
    Get it out of my head
    Thanks for all the nights It felt like
    I bled out

    I know you're sorry
    Sorry you held on so long
    Now is your chance to get away
    away fom me

    Please let us move on
    Go our separate ways
    Find a path
    Don't carry your past
    Make it last
    Don't worry
    I'm okay.

    Ahh this one is depressing. Don't get me wrong--it's good. Just depressing. "Now's your chance to get away from me," makes me think of someone who acts like Beast in Beauty and the Beast, but has a moment where his head is clear enough to say, "I'm a monster; leave while you still can." To me, "Don't worry, I'm okay" almost conflicts with the above quote, while at the same time compliments it. There are many emotions in this piece, and much that is left unsaid but implied. That's good--it makes the reader think more.
