    Poem Commentary

    I wrote this poem for my husband for fathers day some years back and I also translated it in English for those of you who don't understand Spanish.

    ERES MI MOTIVO - YOU ARE MY MOTIVE
    Eres mi motivo
    para sonreir por la mañana
    alegremente suspiro por las tardes
    al verte llegar por la ventana
    por todo el amor que me das ami
    mis pensamientos son solo de ti
    siempre intentas tenerme contenta
    cuando mas triste me siento
    con tu dulzura y nobleza
    me vuelves el aliento
    me haces sentir fuerte
    deseando por ti vivir
    cuando creo que no valgo nada
    me dices alegre cuanto me amas
    que soy todo para ti
    Eres mi motivo
    para ser mejor
    por eso te entrego mi amor
    si me siento perdida
    me arropas con tus alas de oro
    me proteges de todo mal
    eres como un angel guardian
    cual me cuida todo el tiempo
    guiando siempre mi camino
    a tu lado nunca temo nada
    ni el destino por venir
    Eres mi motivo
    para soñar con lo impossible
    porque como magia
    haces todo realidad
    Eres mi querido esposo,
    mi gran amante,
    un buen amigo
    pero lo mas importante
    un magnifico padre
    para nuestros tres hijos
    por eso cariño
    quiero decirte

    para desear y tratar
    hacerte siempre feliz

    You are my motive
    to smile every morning
    every evening happily I sigh
    seeing through the window
    you just got home
    for all the love you give
    my thoughts are only yours
    you always try to make me happy
    when I get so sad
    with your sweetness and nobility
    you give me encouragement
    to continue being strong
    again I wish to live for you
    when I think im nothing
    you tell me how much you love me
    that I'm everything to you
    You are my motive to be better
    thats why I give you my love
    If ever I feel lost or without hope
    you cover me with your wings of gold
    protecting me from harm
    you are like a guardian angel
    who cares for me all the time
    guiding my way through life
    by your side I don't fear anything
    not even my destiny to come
    You are my motive
    to dream with the impossible
    because like magic
    you make everything a reality
    you are my loving husband
    a great lover
    a good friend
    but most important
    a magnificent father  
    that is why honey
    I want to tell you
    You are my motive
    to desire and keep trying
    to always make you happy
