Ever thine, ever mine, ever ours...

Ever thine, ever mine, ever ours...

All creatures know what love is, though some can't grasp it's light,
and they stand and watch with baited breath as it passes out of sight.
As time rolls on and years they pass, they wish it would return,
but somehow God has seen to it that their wish again is spurned.

The lucky ones are those that find love, and are both blessed and fortunate.
They go through life with heads held high; loneliness will not be their fate.
And nothing is taken for granted for God sees the truth in all hearts,
so each day is spent rejoicing, only sad whenever they are apart.

Some are meant to be with only one love, the other half to make them whole.
Others find love in a multiple hearts as they leave tender marks on the souls
of those who have gone on to be a sweet dream, a memory with a smile.
Still others will love with a shallow approach, moving on in a short while.

Men are not made to carry the wieght of a fractured love left by another,
yet we try as we might to rescue the fair and distressed as if it's no bother.
Women are born of a meeker approach, seeking just the right man to be near,
yet others are born for a darker report, and show men that they know no fear.

It matters not of the sex or the age if true love has found the right mark,
for as long as we concentrate on the passion and purety, not the ugly and dark,
then we will find the person who God sent for us, and be happy until our last breath,
but if not then we must bear the long lonely road that carries on up to our death.

How come Adam was so misguided, some ask; the answer is really quite plain.
Eve, as she was, did not mean to mislead, and his love for her led to his pain.
The only regret that any man should have is to let the one go who's "the one",
for there rarely will ever be another chance to make two souls become one.

I've found a love I had long ago lost, and never thought I would see again.
Her beauty is still fresh, her soul is still pure, and passion has conquered our pain.
We live life anew, looking towards another day as the couple we knew we were
meant to be so many years ago, and I have faith our love and family will endure.

'The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.'
No truer words were ever writ by any author or playright, yet in turn
the greatest wish you'll ever dream is to find love and never feel the sting
of loss or heartache, either by the passing of time or the toll of death's ring.

When the time finally comes to take the vows that we invest in for all time
it is the greatest feeling in the world, and not one person can tarnish the rime.
Having said that, there will always be those who will try to tear souls apart,
and unless the bond is as strong as steel, then we are left with a broken heart.

Put God in your union, and it matters not to which one, or more, that you pray,
for when we let Him take control of the reins, it makes for an easier way.
In the end all will kneel and all will be judged, but I want my love at my side.
So when God calls our names there will be no doubts this isn't the end of the ride.
