    Poem Commentary

no commentary for this one...it is what it is

Fall Into the Stream and Hold Your Breath

    coral stones
    in an ancient eldritch sea
    misdeeds are precedents
    for recreational electives
    torching
    smoking
    inhalations

    on pox-filled hollow cheeked natives
    tongue-in-cheek relatives
    fire breathing
    dragon lady
    dancing panda bear
    engravings

    over wrought deceitful lies
    disgrace the dream
    of alien nights
    as bogus reindeer feed
    on purple majesties

    the broccoli suffers
    beneath parched leaves
    golden morning
    precious stone
    romance burning

    as the world slides through
    eternally machining
    machinations
    incarnations
    of hesitant gods

    animals splashing through
    spring-time floods
    the measure of man
    as brilliant as a pinwheel
    fossilized in amber

    encased in glass
    passions running wild
    under star-sticker ceiling tiles
    freedom believing
    slavery will end

    yield to the whim
    of a woman without man
    stomping cages
    romping through pages
    suicidal missions

    unpredictable
    forbidden amongst the middens
    of an ancient trash heap
where all the dogs will sleep
beneath the sea of endless greenery

the only blue bonnie lass still breathing
    inside the iris
    of a giant cloud seeding
    impossibly demeening
    after only one meeting

    like pressure building
    and steaming islands sprouting
    palm trees screaming
    mud flash flooding
    down scree strewn hillsides

    ocean to ocean
    unstoppable emotion
    plugged by the motions
    the endless commotion
    of six billion

    mouth breathing
    flesh-chewing
    idea spewing
    short lived
    foolish fools
    pretending

    in ghouls with wings
    swords and overlords
    of bad taste mistreating
    the trinity of ghosts
    racing

    towards an ending
    of sorts
    religion mixes well
    with vodka
    and carribbean resorts

This is what I call poetic elegance, words of magic painted with an extraordinary artists brush. Your message is clear, imagery is flawless and the plot is represented with golden words of talent. You really are on target with this powerful choice of words. Your thoughts and feelings are felt in your amazing gift as a poet. Thanks for sharing. LOL, BDC

Well that's one way of saying here's your world and the ratrace that goes on in it. All are lost, forever searching for themselves while the gears keep turning. Let's kick back, have a drink and discuss religious ramifications before the end.
