  • I once knew everything, and now I know nothing.

Fire and Ice

Candy, powder, bubbles and again he is numb
Leather straps stop the blood
that turns the liquid pink
Then gone, it dissapears inside of him with the pain the heartache the lonliness the longing....
The blood on this sword is burning, white hot fire
Fire and ice all at once like she once was
Now that she's gone....
The candy is all he has left

When it's over...
Cold shivering in his stomach
for a few hours, he will sleep
until the hunger brings brings him back to the dark underside of the city... of himself

He finds her love there
in the longing
He yearns for sugar like once he yearned for her

Scarred arms portray his longing fulfilled
But in the numb darkness
there are no scars
no leather binds him
no thirsty blood
no fire no ice
It's only the cold the numb and her

It's sad how the drug only makes him forget for a moment before he remembers her instead. Great write though! His pain is evident.

interesting turning the drug of freedom of a happy lie to be the evil coin flipping every time the needle goes in and u put it as candy like its a day to day thing of some sort of joy or rare moment. its well done don't know why u ended it coldly when the drug do the same every time till he is dead, women will hurt every man in the end

Brilliant, I gave it a 10

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
