Fireside Passion

Fireside Passion

The sweet taste of you
Is upon my lips
As I lay you down
On velvety spread
Before a raging fire

I hear your gasps
As I feather your skin
With soft kisses
While I slowly ease
You into nakedness

Fire cackles in delight
And candles flicker
In the dimness of
A shadowy room
Filled with your scent

Your skin is burning
To the touch, your eyes
Filled with longing, pleading
Your whispered voice
Begs me to enter

And still I wait...
And still I wait...

My lips are on molten flesh
Sweat beads your brow
And yet you shiver
As I caress your body
With a gentle tongue

Your eyes are mere slits
Closed against the raging
Inferno that threatens
To consume your being
From the inside out

You open yourself to me
Pleading, then demanding
That I enter you, fill you
Your need is palpable
I can resist no longer

Our bodies merge together
Each feeding the other
Each lost to the other
As we crescendo together
We kiss and fall asleep...

A long time later,
I feel you nibble my ear...

I thought only women could write like that. I stand corrected. Good use of descriptive language and great flow.

Your first time was the right time, looks like you waited waited until you could resist no longer... great right. Free verse is the source of my soulful writing. You have found a way for new expression and your love that you wrote this about must be smoldering! 10

It's really hard to write graphically sensual poetry the works, but damned if you haven't done it! I particularly admire the use of fire and fire-images to stand for passion. Also, though the verse may be "blank," it's well held together by consistent rhythms. Good work!

Thank you very much, Jay690P for your very kind words.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
