I had an explosion of thoughts
upon these words
"taking life for granted"
I say
"why not?"
am I not a believer
beyond my grave
before it is made?
if the end
is just another beginning
then the beginning
is still life
who would not want
to take that for granted?
we were granted life
for the taking
a beginning that we
did not grant ourselves
but it's the "end"
that we keep reminding
ourselves of
Why?
I'd rather take life for granted
it has more beginnings
